

She was born on October 15, 1955, in Anniston, Alabama, to Virgil Songer and Elizabeth Virgil Songer. From an early age, Cynthia carried a light within her that would continue to shine throughout her life.
Cynthia dedicated 43 years of faithful service as a Scrub Technician at Emory University Hospital, where she worked with compassion, skill, and dedication. She touched countless lives through her steady hands and caring heart.
Above all, Cynthia loved her family. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with those she loved. She had a beautiful heart and soul, and her warm spirit filled every room she entered. Known for her quick wit and playful jokes, she had a special gift for making people laugh, even during difficult times. She loved her a margarita.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Charles Mann, who passed in 2012.
Cynthia is survived by her beloved partner, Efren Cabrera; her daughter, Elizabeth Mann; her cherished grandchildren, Fidel Charles Alcántar (Carlos), Maria Christina Cabrera, and Rosa Yolanda Martines; and her treasured great-grandchild, Michael Ortiz. She also leaves behind extended family and friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
Cynthia’s love, laughter, and gentle strength will never be forgotten. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the family she loved so deeply.
A visitation will be held at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, GA, 30281, on February 20, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at the same venue beginning at 2:00 p.m.
