Dewey Lee Franklin

Dewey was born on November 24, 1936 in Gainesville, Georgia to John & Avie Franklin. He worked for the City of Atlanta in Parks & Recreation, retiring after 32 years.

Dewey met and married the love of his life, Mozelle Crow and they remained happily married supporting and loving each other for over 64 years. Together they raised their family to always be there for each other and love everyone.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John & Avie Franklin; son, Mark Franklin; daughter, Anita Franklin and grandson, Brian Franklin.

Dewey's life will forever be remembered and cherished by his loving wife, Mozelle Crow Franklin; children, Janet Wilson (Harold), Lee Franklin (Barbie) and Paul Franklin; grandchildren, Christy McCombs (Chris), Kimberly "P-Nut" Franklin, PNuckle Franklin and Justin Franklin (Jade); great-grandchildren, Maliya Franklin, Kamden Franklin, Ayden Franklin, Andrew Franklin and Sweet Pea Franklin; brother, Bill Franklin; sister, Fannie Mae Holmes; a host of other relatives and family friends.

A visitation for Dewey will be held on Monday, December 13, 2021 from 11:00AM-2:00PM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. Funeral Services will immediately follow in the chapel at 2:00 PM with burial in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
