Sending lots of love and prayers to Senior Chief's family, he was a very nice man, I am so sorry for your loss. I got the pleasure of getting to know him my first couple of years in high school. He will truly be missed!!!

First, thank you for your service to your country, community, and cadets. A man meets many people along his life's journey and very few he comes in contact with make a big impression. Senior Chief, you made a huge impact on my life. The lessons that you taught me still help me to this day. Thank you for setting the example of what it means to be a man. My prayers are with Kevin and the entire family.  Even tho I was not in NJROTC, I remember how dedicated Senior Chief was.  Being around my classmates who had him as an instructor, I could see what an impact he had on them and their lives.

May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back.May the sun shine warm upon your face.May the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, May the Lord hold you in the palm of His hand.

My heart goes out to the family. Senior Cheif was such amazing instructor. I graduated in 1995 and still think of him and his family today. He believed in everyone that came through the NJROTC program. A great man has left us.

I have known Senior Chief since 1995 when my brother first entered the NJROTC program, my sister soon followed in the program, and I was in the program until my senior year in 2007, the same year he retired.  He shared his knowledge and experience with all of us, and he will forever be remembered as "Chief"!!  My thoughts and prayers are with his family, he was very well respected and I will never forget him!

Senior chief has impacted my life greatly. I enjoyed my four years of NJROTC with him. I always viewed him as being indesructable. He was a wonderful person and never showed that he was feeling bad or down. I am going to miss him very much.

My message to the family is in tune with the other messages people have left.  Senior Chief was a mentor, father figure, instructor and a huge influence in our lives.  He was dedicated to his job and I know he loved each and every one of us as if we were his children.  I felt his fatherly love several times when I screwed up and he told me so! =D  There is not a single other teacher in my past that influenced me like he did.  He was an amazing man and it was a honor to know him.

I had the pleasure of working with Senior Chief Hoskins during the  4 years my daughter was in the NJROTC program at Stockbridge High School.  Senior Chief was such a great mentor and friend to my daughter, and all of the cadets in the program.  He will be greatly missed.  He was one of the best instructors Stockbridge High school had.  He was a great inspiration to so many people throughout his life.  My thoughts and prayers go out to Senior Chief's family.  May God give you strength and comfort during this very difficult time.  We are all sorry for your loss.

I wasn't in NJROTC but this man made one hell of an impression on me.  He could snap anyone in shape quicker than a whip.  He was strong, he was boisterous, and he definitely gave me a few laughs.  A good man, he'll be missed.  <3  My best wishes to his friends and family.

Senior Chief Hoskins will be missed. He was one of the best instructors I have ever had. To his family and friends, I am sorry for your loss.

Many prayers to his family.  Senior Chief reminds me of the verse, "My heart rejoiced in all my labor; And this was my reward from all my labor.  Ecclesiastes 2:10.  He worked so hard to teach us many things.  He was a great educator and friend.  Many of us learned a lot from him and are able to take this with us throughout our lives.  What an honor to have had him touch my life.  I will never forget!  Thank you - see you again....

Here is to the Senior Chief, may he rest in peace. He started teaching at Stockbridge High School in 1984, my freshman year of high school. I can't even imagine the countless hours he spent at drill team practices, 4 days a week and Saturdays; drill team camps, a week during the summer; & preparing for drill meets, constantly; all after regular school hours. If you just think about that much time during the 4 years I was there, it is impressive, but the Chief continued to teach & drill year after year until 2007 (I think). All of this began after he had already spent at least 20 years defending our nation in the United States Navy. I know I am one of hundreds of cadets whose life he touched, I am glad I knew him.
