He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Lorene Cobb; his brothers F.J. Addison and Donald Cobb; and his son, Dennis Langley.
Jimmie is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty (Chafin) Cobb; siblings Joe (Judy) Cobb, Willie (Eva) Cobb, and Evalyn Sullivan; daughters Renee (Ray) Panter, Carla (Greg) Faulkner, and Michelle (Kevin) Watkins; daughter-in-law Anita Langley; grandchildren Becky Daniel, Josh Panter, Tate Malone, Tegan Rivers, Jessica Burns, Adam Burns, and Kelsey Watkins; and 8 great grandchildren.
A visitation of family and friends will be held for Jimmie on Monday, December 30, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Horis A. Ward - Fairview Chapel | 376 Fairview Road Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. A celebration of his life will occur directly following the visitation at 1:00 PM in Ward's Chapel. Services will conclude with a graveside committal at Fairview Memorial Gardens | 164 Fairview Road Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
