Joanne H. Boswell

Joanne H. Boswell of Ellenwood, Georgia, born June 25, 1936, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 22, 2024. The funeral will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at 1:30PM in The Fairview Suite at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.

Mrs. Boswell was a member since 1988 and past secretary of Glen Haven Baptist Church, where she taught a children's Sunday School Class. She was also involved with the Glen Haven Senior Road Runners since 1994. She was a 1954 graduate of Murphy High School in Atlanta.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Boswell; son, Gregory Stewart; foster son, Benny Dowd; son, Steve Boswell; mother, Evelyn Lowe and father, Johnnie Hammock. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Jan Dowd of Milner, Georgia; grandsons, Shanon Stewart (Sharon) of Rabun Gap, Georgia, Brandon Stewart of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Marshall Stewart (June) of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Dakota Dowd (Jessica) of Griffin, Georgia; granddaughter, Gypsy Wright (Jeremy) of North Carolina; four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 25, 2024 from 12:00Noon - 1:30PM in The Heritage Suite of Horis A. Ward Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Conley, Georgia (on Conner Drive, off of Bouldercrest Road).
