Condolences to Joel's family, my prayers are with you.  Joel and Bobby Tomlin (my brother) were very good friends growing up in Stockbridge.  My family are deeply sadden by the loss of a great friend.  Rest In Piece Joel.

My thoughts and sorrow are with Joel’s family. My husband Larry and I were very close friends with Joel many years ago. Our circle of friends would ride our Harleys together and “hang out “. In recent years he came by to ask what happened to Larry and offer his condolences. After that we kept touch with texts. I’ll miss his smile. He was a true friend.

Our hearts are with Joel’s family during this time of deep sorrow. He was a dear friend and we miss him already. He will always hold a special place in our hearts. We are praying for comfort and peace for Joel’s family during this difficult time. ❤️🙏

Joel was a great friend we were in High School together..We would race cars on Flipping Road at the Broders Farm and go to Shoney's in Forest Park and  race people there...This was the good ole days of Stockbridge..Those days are gone just like Joel is..so sad to hear of his passing I wish I had stayed in touch...Joel you won the race to Heaven - victory is yours...may God take care of your family that's still here...Life is so full of joy and sorrow I'm really sad we weren't able to connect just one more time...

Joel was my first cousin and we enjoyed growing up together. He and his sister Yvonne and my family were always very close. We'd love to go to Stockbridge or wherever they lived and visit.
 Great memories of riding the Nancy Hanks train from Temple Georgia to Atlanta terminal we would always have so much fun as we visited with them. Sympathy express to all the family and I hope one day I will be able to see and visit some of the Faulkner cousins.Love you forever!  Dale Bussell Gibson

I've always called Joel my cousin-brother, and he's been the best buddy to me for quite awhile. I will miss our early morning chats, and all the fun and laughter that always went along with them. I place my hope in his salvation, and pray all who loved him can find peace in the midst of grief.

I can’t even imagine the celebration that took place when Joel got to Heaven and was reunited with his son and parents.

To Yvonne and Joel’s children and grandkids… Joel was always kind to me. A soft spoken man with a good heart. I’m sure he will be missed by many until we see him again.

Joel would give the shirt off his back to help anyone.  He loved his family and we loved him.  He was so helpful to me during Larry’s illness and death.  I will miss you, Cuzz.  RIP.

I am sad that he has passed but I live with hope because of his testimony to my brothers that he had asked Jesus to save his soul. I grew up with Joel and always thought of him as a gentle giant. He was always kind and helpful to those who were younger. He also visited my mother often while she was in the nursing home.  I pray for his children and my cousin, Yvonne, to find God’s peace in the midst of their grief.

I could write a book with the memories I have of Joel.  From childhood to now.  He was family.  He was always a phone call away n there for me more times then I can count.  I love you Joel.
