We are shocked and so sorry to hear of Lamar's passing. I always remember the day Lamar picked Nolan and I up from the fair on his motorcycle and took the three of us home. It was the first time I had ridden on one and I could see why he liked it so much.

I'm sorry to hear of Lamar's passing. I can remember being in class with him at Walter F. George High School. Also I can remember going to his dad's plumbing shop with my uncle Joe Land. I talked to Lamar on the phone a few times as an adult and wanted to go sailing with him but never got the chance. Fair Winds Lamar, RIP.

         Many years ago a friend and I were at a concert in Atlanta.  Amazingly, out of thousands of people, I turned around and there was Lamar with a giant smile on his face.  Lamar was a great man with a happy heart. He will be deeply missed by many, friends and family.  Sometimes, when one person is missing, the whole world seems depopulated.  Lamartine   This says it all.

He will be missed he was a great friend to us all, wonderful man. He will be singing us all into heaven . We love you man prayers to Linda and family!!

Lamar the American meaning is "of the sea" his most favorite place. My husband Nolan's kindred spirit. They were 2 peas in a pod. Nolan said "he trained me well". They both have a remarkable way of bringing joy and lifting people's spirit. Lamar loved music, the ocean and had an insatiable love for life. What an inspiration! You will live on in our hearts as we were blessed with Bryan carrying some of your traits, when we see him and his love for people and life we will see you! We love you!!! When i was a little girl i wanted to be just like my big brother. Love You Kandy

As a young teenager Lamar would let me cruise with him in his 57 Chevrolet. We would back in a spot at Carrolls in Forest Park and just hang out. He took me to my first battle of the bands concert. It was a privilege to have known him.I made the mistake of not staying in touch, He will be missed.      Billy Edwards

When I was a little girl I aggravated Lamar until he played Ally Cat for me on the piano. He would do it and laugh at me because I loved the song so much. He was so special in so many ways. I am glad that we became good friends later in the 80s--he taught me three important lessons that I will never forget. Thanks Lamar for that time in my life.
