Louise grew up with two sisters and six brothers, surrounded by family. She met Otto on a bus ride from Atlanta to North Georgia, and on the return trip, he saved a seat just for her. That simple act began a lifetime of love. They married and built their life in Atlanta, raising their son Charles while also building homes in Franklin, North Carolina, and Ellenwood, Georgia.
Louise was deeply loved by her son Charles and his wife Shirley, whom she often called “the daughter I never had.” She adored her grandsons, Charles and James, and took every opportunity to spend time with them, always ready to spoil them. She was also proud to welcome their wives, Darsani and Hannah, into the family and kept pictures of the 2 couples in her room to share with visitors.
In her later years, Louise became known as the “I love you” lady. She shared those words freely with everyone who cared for her, leaving a lasting impression of kindness and warmth.
A gathering to celebrate her life will be held at Horis A.Ward Fairview Chapel on Friday, March 20. Family and friends are invited to fellowship at 12:00 noon in the chapel, followed by a graveside service at 1:00 p.m.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
