Madeline Tipora Todd Mitchell, age 91, of Covington, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014. Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014 at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge at 2pm, with Rev. Reese Sanders officiating.
Mrs. Mitchell Graduated from Girls High in Atlanta. She was an active member of Zion Baptist Church in Covington, where she was a children’s Sunday school teacher.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Mitchell Meek, Tucker, three sons; C. Barry Mitchell, Tucker; Todd F. Mitchell, Covington; Kim W. Mitchell, Covington, her nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and various nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, C. Fred Mitchell, her five sisters; Sara Slatery, Annie Rae Mann, Nealia Pearl Roquemore, Ruby Collier, and Juanita Joy, and her two brothers; Joseph Todd and Harper Todd.
