Mary Laura Walker

Mary was born on June 3, 1938 in Summerville, Georgia, to Luther and Clara Whitley O'Bryant. She spent her professional career as a food service manager, working for various restaurants and school cafeterias.

Mary Laura met and married the love of her life, George Herbert Walker and together they lived happily ever after for 60 1/2 years, until his passing on August 21, 2019.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Mary was faithful in her church and loved others as if her life depended on it. She had a true servants heart. She was a faithful, hard-working member of The Ole Country Church of McDonough, Georgia.

Mary Laura's life will forever be remembered and cherished by her children, Jeff Walker (Donna) and Kelli Williams (TJ); grandchildren, Jarrett Walker, Lauren (Eric) Swint and Aaron Williams; great-granddaughter, Laura Shea Walker; three anticipated great-grandchildren (due September 2020); sister, Marilyn Odum; sister-in-law, Delores Lauth; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation for Mrs. Mary Laura O'Bryant Walker will be held on Friday, June 19, 2020 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM (only ten people allowed in at a time and guests must wear a mask) and Saturday, June 20, 2020 from 11:00 AM - 11:50 AM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home-Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.

Due to the COVID-19 regulations, the funeral service will be streamed LIVE for family and friends at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, June 20, 2020 via https://www.facebook.com/HAWFairview/.

The Interment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.
