Mike Head grew up in the streets for Cabbagetown and graduated from the School of Hardknocks. Despite his rough start in both life and in his career, he went on to be a beloved husband, father, granddaddy, friend and 3 time racing hall of famer. Mike thought he was 10 foot tall and bulletproof until God showed him he wasn't when Mike lost his son, Michael Head, Jr. in 1997. Since then, Mike has "walked the walk" and "talked the talk". It was no longer about racing but making sure everyone he came in contact with knew Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
