Nathan Edward Ponder

Nathan was born on August 28, 1959 in Atlanta, Georgia to Glen Ponder and Bessie Holcombe. He worked as a carpenter and was diligent in all of his projects. He stayed humble and worked hard.

An avid sports enthusiast, Nathan loved the Atlanta Falcons and Georgia Bulldogs. He also loved playing the lottery.

Family is life's greatest blessings. His pride and joy was his family and specifically his grandchildren. He was "Papa" not only to them but their entire softball team. To know him is to love him.

Because someone we love is in Heaven, there is a little bit of Heaven in our homes. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Holcombe and sister, Angela Cobb.

Nathan's life will forever be remembered and cherished by his children, Tiffany, Lisa, Stephanie and Shauna; sons-in-law, Billy, Tommy and David; grandchildren, Kayla, Zane, Brittany, Austin, Bradley, Gage, Thomas, Shaley, Aaron, Zaden, Erica, Nathaniel and Kashtyn; great-grandchild, Eli; brother, Raymond; a host of other relatives and family friends.

Public Visitation for Nathan Edward Ponder will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2020 from 12:00Noon - 5:00PM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home-Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281, where the Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 1:00PM (limited seating)

Interment immediately following in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
