

ALFONSO O. CABRERA In Stockton, September 20, 2017, Alfonso O. Cabrera, beloved husband of the late Lourdes E. Cabrera . Devoted father of Glenn Cabrera of Mattituck, NY and daughter-in-law Julie. Loving grandfather of Graeme Lawrence and Evan David Cabrera. Cherished granduncle of Manuel and Rowena Ramirez. Also survived by siblings Dominador Cabrera and Ramona Macaraeg; and many nieces, nephews, and their children. A native of the Philippines, Mr. Cabrera lived to see his 101st birthday on August 2, 2017. Mr. Cabrera emigrated to the United States in the late 1940’s, while serving as a member of the U.S. Army Transport Services. He was a multi-talented artist, who publicly sang, danced, and acted in venues on both the West and East Coast. He was happily married to Ms. Lourdes Erfe-Mejia in 1965; retired in the late 1970’s from Irving Reich, Inc. – as an office manager/accountant; and, relocated with his wife to Stockton in 1988. From painting, cooking, traveling, gardening, and other endeavors, he was limitless in expressing his appreciation of life’s beauty. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 2pm -6pm at De Young Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California Street, Stockton with a Rosary to follow at 6pm. Mass will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 1pm at St Luke’s Catholic Church, 3847 Sutter Street, Stockton. Committal to follow at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery, 719 E. Harding Way, Stockton.
