Alfredo was born on October 27, 1930 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. He began his career playing professional soccer for Club Oro in Mexico. In 1948 he was drafted to Atlas in Los Angeles, CA. He was then selected as an all-star soccer player for Mexico AC. Alfredo moved to San Francisco, CA where he continued to not only play soccer but coach soccer as well. While living in San Francisco, Alfredo began working for Greyhound Bus Line where he painted buses for thirty-two years.
Survivors include his eldest son, Alfredo Vidrio Jr. of Pittsburg, CA, daughter Angie Vidrio of Stockton, CA, son David Vidrio of San Francisco, CA, son George Vidrio of Westminster, CA, and daughter Patricia Vazquez of Stockton, CA. Alfredo is also survived by eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Alfredo is preceded in death by his wife Bertha Vidrio and his parents; David Vidrio and Agueda Sanchez Vidrio.
