Alice is survived by her 4 children Denise Hernandez (Albert), Kim Mountjoy (Cindy), Calvin Mountjoy, and Chris Mountjoy (Sonia); 10 grandchildren Kevin Mountjoy, Nicholas Mountjoy (Nicole), Amanda Rodriguez (Keith), Eric Hernandez, Janine Hernandez, Christopher Mountjoy, Courtney Mountjoy-Reza (Alighieri), Emily Mountjoy, Andrea Mountjoy, and Marcy Bartula (Jody); and numerous loving great grandchildren and step grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Arthur D. Mountjoy.
Alice was born on February 12th, 1933 in French Camp, CA to Joseph and Trinidad Romero. After graduating high school she married Arthur (Artie) a Longshoreman in 1953. She began working for Western Truckline until she had children and later worked over 20 years at EDD unemployment office. She was a tremendously generous individual who loved bowling, gardening, shopping, cooking, trips to Jackson Rancheria and watching the Sacramento Kings.
A Visitation is scheduled on Monday January 29th from 2pm-6pm. A funeral to celebrate Alice’s life will be held on January 30th at 10am. Both events will be at DeYoung Memorial Chapel located at 601 N. California Street in Stockton. She will be laid down to rest immediately following the funeral at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery, located at 719 E. Harding Way in Stockton.
Alice touched the heart of everyone in her life. She will truly be missed as being a wonderful person to all.
