Angeletha Brown was born February 6, 1931, in the town of Camp Ruby, Texas to John and Tensie Brown who has preceded her in death. There are 6 girls and 1 boy born to Tensie and John Angeletha is the 4th child and the last of 7 siblings: AnnieMae, Arvella, KatieLee, Baby Rosetta, Delphina and Clarence. She is survived by her half sister Dorothy. She graduated from Dunbar High School in Lufkin, Texas. Angeletha was a part of her high school marching band as a drum majorette.
In 1960, she left the slate of Texas and moved to California. She was hopeful in her pursuit of a better life for herself and her children. Angeletha then met Felix Robertson in the summer of 1964. He courted her that year through the summer. By the fall of 1964 they were married. Later, they celebrated their 25th anniversary of marriage with a wedding ceremony and reception. After 20 years of service she retired from Sheffield Convalescent Hospital, in San Francisco as the Supervising Dietician. The family transitioned to a life in Stockton, California in 2007.
She enjoyed bringing family and friends together cooking, eating, cocktails, reading Newspapers, books, and sports was her way of life. Our mother introduced us as children to her passionate love affair with sports that was fanatically shared with everyone that crossed her path. Season ticket holder at various stadiums, a fan of the SF 49ers football, SF Giants baseball, and Warriors basketball teams.
Angeletha also enjoyed traveling with her family. Early years we as a family would travel to Clear Lake once a year. Angeletha and her sister Dorothy were the best of buddies traveling to Parris, Hawaii, and Mexico together. Many trips Angeletha would take throughout the years including to Lake Tahoe, Reno, and Cabo for fun with her family.
She leaves an enormous amount of love from her 5 children: Janet, Anthony, Belinda, Yvonne and Felix Jr.; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren and multitudes of extended family and friends. Along the way she shared special bonds with Odessa Hadnot her niece, Charles Jones beloved nephew and Willie Wyatt who proceeded her in death.
A visitation for Angeletha will be held Thursday, September 29, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Mortuary, 809 N California St, Stockton, California 95202. A funeral service will occur Friday, September 30, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, 809 N California St, Stockton, California 95202. A committal will occur Friday, September 30, 2022 at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, California.
