Bette M Thomas

She is survived by her sister Charleen Richardson, and many cousins and close friends.

Bette was born in Los Angeles and raised in Whittier California and is the daughter of Clifford and Iris (Marken) Lowry.

Bette attended University of the Pacific with a Bachelor of Arts and a Master’s degree in physical education.

Bette was married to John Thomas prior to his passing away.

Bette was a high school athletic coach for 33 years and was skilled in a wide variety of sports. Bette was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed attending races. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time in the Apple Hill area and California wine country. She was active in her Church and community. Bette enjoyed traveling and documenting her travels with photography.

A visitation will be held on October 26, from 12-4pm at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N California Street, Stockton, California. A service will be held graveside at Inglewood Park Cemetery on October 27, 2023, at 11:00. Immediately following the service, a gathering friends and family will be held at one of Bette’s favorite sandwich shops Phillippe’s Restaurant.
