
Carlito N. Bonjoc, Sr. passed in peace May 19, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Lanai, Hawaii December 18, 1925. His parents moved the family to the Philippines, where he experienced most of his early years. In 1958 he met Martina the love of his life, and they enjoyed the blessing of marriage for 56 years. Together they raised two children. In 1971 he fulfilled his dream of bringing his family to America to live the life to freedom and opportunity. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Martina Bonjoc, daughter Bernadette Riesenbeck & son- in- law Mark, Son Carlito Bonjoc Jr. & daughter- in- law Dara, granddaughters Tara Nicole Riesenbeck and Macie Bonjoc. He was a loving brother to Salvador Bonjoc of Stockton, Rudolfo Bonjoc of Chicago, Adelina Balisado of the Philippines, Lolita Hahn of Florida, Benjamin Bonjoc of the Philippines. Now he has joined those who left earlier, his parents Mauricio and Petra Bonjoc, brothers Agapito Bonjoc, Mauricio Bonjoc, Sisters Purita Tiu, Estrella Bonjoc, Myrna Tupas and Amparu Mainque. He was a proud uncle of many nieces and nephews in Stockton, Florida, Chicago, Australia and Philippines. Dedicated member to the Worshipful Daguhoy Lodge 528 to the Legionarios Del Trabajo in America. Longtime member of the Calape Sons of America. Member of the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame & Inducted with a lifetime achievement award 4th day of August 2007. Education: Bachelors of Science Degree in Education. Head teacher in the Philippines. Maintenance personnel at the University of the Pacific for 20 years. Taught his son and daughter Escrima (Filipino martial arts). Senior Grand Master and advisor to MATA SA BAGYO Filipino Martial Arts Int. Visitation: Tuesday, May 27, 2014 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Guarding by Legionarios Del Trabajo 3:00 pm, Rosary 5:00 pm at the DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, 7676 Shoreline Drive, Stockton, Ca. 95219. On Wednesday, May 28, 2014 Procession start 12:30 pm from DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, Catholic Mass 1:00 pm at St. Lukes, 3847 N. Sutter St., Stockton, CA. 95204. Committal at the San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.
