Charlotte Ann “Lottie” Geiger passed away on July 19, 2011 at the age of 77 in Stockton, CA. She was born February 16, 1934 in French Camp, CA. Lottie is Preceded in death by her father and mother, Harold and Beulah Beal; son, Donald Geiger; foster son, John Villa; sister, Jane Vega and brother, Fred Beal. She is survived by her son, John Geiger & wife Cecily of Madera, CA; daughter, Jean Kelley & husband Douglas of Clovis, CA; brother, Kenneth Beal of Manteca, CA; sister, Diana Habeck & husband Thomas of LaGrange, CA; foster brother, Ed Lohr of Valley Ford, CA; 13 grandchildren, 18 Great-grandchildren and 2 Great-great grandchildren.
While Lottie had a few different jobs over the years, the one she valued most was caring for children. She had three children (Donald, John & Jean) with her husband of 30 years, Leslie Geiger. For many years they were foster parents to over 30 foster children, but one, John Villa came to them at age 10 and until his death, she was his mom too.
After Lottie was on her own she continued to raise and help with raising foster children from her own family. The first of these were her two oldest grandchildren; Arlene Villa Shaverdi and John Villa Geiger. Their sister and brother; Stephanie Villa Mueller and Michael Villa also lived with her for awhile. She later had her great grandson Addison Krauze for several years. When she thought that was the last, her sister, Jane passed away and she took in her two nieces, Beulah Vega and Edwina Vega Jones. Even after the last, Edwin left the home, she continued to help out when needed for grandchildren and great grandchildren. She even moved to Clovis for awhile to help care for her two youngest grandchildren.
Another passion of Lottie’s was her involvement with Eastern Star and Rainbow Girls which she served for many years. Her greatest passion was her love of the Lord and now she lives in his home.
