Dennis is survived by his wife Margaret, his son Alex, and daughter Melissa. He is also survived by his brother, Nori Yabumoto (Peggy), and sisters, Naomi Nakasuji (Frank), Aileen Sasao, Dr. Katherine Young (Mel), and step-mother Wakako Yabumoto.
Dennis grew up mostly in Stockton, moving to San Francisco before high school. He attended UC Berkley and graduated from the California College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Yabumoto practiced Podiatry in Stockton for 37 years.
In his youth, he was involved in many sports especially Karate, in which he was awarded a Black Belt at the age of 13. He won many championships. In his adult years his hobbies included boating and motorcycling.
He will be remembered by his family and friends for his kindness and generosity.
There will be a memorial service on Saturday, October 4, 2014, at 2 p.m., at the Stockton Buddhist Church, 2820 Shimizu Drive, Stockton CA.
