Eleanore met and married the love of her life, John P. Costa of Roberts Island. They were happily married for 59 years until his passing in 2008. She was a caring and generous person, volunteering at many sports and school activities, PTA, and church. She was a devoted Catholic and lived her faith. She retired as an instructional aide from St. George's grammar school. She and John enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and visited many countries, but they were happiest at home in Stockton surrounded by family. She was a lifelong fan of the Oakland A's and celebrated her birthday attending a yearly game with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Eleanore is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Tresa and George Lozano, Annie and Gary Forsythe, and Joan Franco (Ben, deceased 2018), and grandchildren, James (Sheena) Armstrong, Anthony (Minnie) Franco, Jessica Armstrong, Lana Lozano, Maggie (Nathan) Castañon, Sidney (Robert) Garcia, and Natalie Forsythe; 17 great grandchildren, with one on the way. She is also survived by brother Frank Franzia of Reno, NV, sister Eleanor Santos of Santa Rosa, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends she considered her extended family.
