

Eva Jean Delucchi went home to the Lord on August 20, 2025. She was 87 years old. Born to Orlando and Mary Giannecchini on January 27, 1938, she was the youngest of five children. Shortly after she was born her father died.
Eva graduated from Saint Mary's High School of Stockton in 1955 where she was known for her petite frame and good sense of humor. Eva then attended the Mod Cornwell School for Secretaries and gained employment as a clerk typist for the Johns Manville (JM) Company at their new facility.
She married her soulmate Gene Delucchi on Valentine's Day, 1960. They had one daughter. They moved to Capitola, CA in 1965, and later returned to the San Joaquin Valley, settling in Manteca, in 1978. Eva loved the seashore, gardening, needlework, and cooking Italian specialties like stuffed zucchini, eggplant parmigiana and canning antipasto. Some of her favorite outings were trips to Black Oak Casino and watching the UOP Tigers play basketball.
Eva was preceded in death by her siblings and their spouses, Enrico Pizzi (Mable), Erma Nomellini (Edward), Oliver Giannecchini (Rose Marie), and her brother Robert Giannecchini and brother-in-law Ernie Delucchi.
She is survived by her husband, Gene, daughter, Francine, brother-in-law Mike Delucchi (Christine) and sister-in-laws Gemma Giannecchini and Joyce Delucchi.
A graveside service will be held at the San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery at 719 E. Harding Way, Stockton, on September 2, 2025 at 10am.
