

Freddie Lee Turner was born to Vennie Turner Jr. and his wife Levell Turner on September 12, 1951, in Arkansas. He graduated from Lock High School in Los Angeles and earned his Associate's Degree in Business at Harbor College.
He later received an Associate's Degree in Ministerial Arts from TLBC in Sacramento.
He met his wife, Elizabeth, on January 17, 1980 in Hollywood, and they were together from that moment on. They married on June 20, 1981. Over the years they made their homes in Los Angeles, Santa Maria, Fremont, and lastly in Stockton, California where they were very active in their community.
He was a wonderful husband, always taking care of his wife and making sure she felt his love every day.
For nearly thirty years Freddie worked as a printer for Reynolds Aluminum. He then began a fulfilling second career working in a group home for men, often working with them in Bible Study.
His passions included computer science, building computers, and working on his cars. He was also very interested in theology and was a passionate evangelistic minister. In 2015 he became an ordained Minister, and often dedicated his time to his church as a gardener.
He was constantly planting seeds to expand the Kingdom of God.
He retired in 2012 but continued working as a security guard, focusing on his passions as a minister and spending time with his loving wife. They enjoyed visiting their children and grandchildren, taking trips, especially to the beach, and enjoying each other's company.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Vennie III, Reginia, Levon, Gary, Jackie, Jeanette, Vicki, Johnny, and Andre, and sons Freddie Jr. and Michael. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, siblings Tom, Genie, and Billie, and children Demetrius, Kristine, Leanna, and Reginold; as well as seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
