Joan Fontanilla Reyes

Joan was a devoted wife to George and loving, supportive mother to five children, Nancy, Tim, Gary, Paul and Karen. Joan passed away after a long battle with cancer. She had such a warm heart, so kind and loving to everyone. She enjoyed traveling, playing tennis, and listening to her favorite Hawaiian songs. Most of all, she cherished her time with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her love of family, love for God, and inner strength. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Joan is survived by her husband George, her children Nancy (Dave) Burdyshaw, Gary Reyes, Paul (Heidi) Reyes, and Karen (Todd) Goria. She is also a wonderful grandmother of 8 grandchildren, Anita, David, Marcus, Casey, Ripken, Rolen, Sierra, Jacob, and 3 great-grandchildren, Malia, Aliea, and Brooke.

Joan is preceded in death by her son Tim (Cheryl) Reyes.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 1:00pm at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California St, Stockton, CA. A reception will follow immediately at DeYoung Memorial.
