

Jocelyn Irene Sabio Suero, 51 of Stockton, California passed away peacefully on March 23, 2016 at the Kaiser Permanente, Modesta, CA after a courageous 5 year battle with cancer. She was born on April 5, 1964 in Cabugao, Ilocos Sur to the late Ricardo Santella Sabio Sr. and Estrella Salamanca Sabio. She grew up in a large happy family with 5 sisters and 3 brothers with numerous nephews, nieces and grandkids whom they fondly call her “Tita Ganda.” She finished elementary at the Cabugao South Central School and high school at Saint Catherine of Sienna Academy in Samal, Bataan. She graduated in San Sebastian College with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree then migrated to the United States in 1986. Jocelyn is married to her loving and ever supportive husband, Julius Elmer Suero for 26 blissful years and blessed with two God-fearing and precious children, Jordan Dale, 24 and Jucel Elena Yzabel, 14 along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know her. She worked with the Army and Airforce Exchange Service in Oakland, CA under the US Federal Gov’t. for more than 10 years then with the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment with the State of California for another 10 years until her early retirement a year ago. Jocelyn was a great homemaker hence, she loves to travel along with her fun- loving family and maintained her unrelenting trademark of class with humility. Her wondrous life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her strength and resiliency, understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her gentle, loving and sweet ways will be terribly missed especially by her family. Surely, she will be missed forever… During her final days, it was her pervent wish to be cremated. Her ashes will be peacefully interred in a glass pieta niche mausoleum at the San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery in Stockton, CA in God’s everlasting care.
