John A. Ferris

Survivors are his Father: Richard Ferris and his Son’s: Gabriel and Benjamin Ferris and wife: Kimberly Ferris, Brother of: Tim & Victoria McCool, William and Sandy Ferris, Uncle of: Jason & Brenda Klug, Matt & Katelyn Shaw and Kevin McCool.

John’s life was eventful. He graduated from high school and then attended Columbia College. John then graduated with a degree in Forestry and met his 1st wife Collyn MacDonald. They moved to Anchorage, Alaska he worked in the winter framing houses and on the Bering Sea with the State of Alaska as a Forest Ranger and also Dept of Fish and Game as a technician with salmon runs and helped prevent fires on the trails.

Then back to San Jose and that’s when John joined Local 393 Plumber’s Union. John is the 3rd generation of plumber’s in our family and his son Benjamin is the 4th generation. He worked all day as an apprentice plumber & 3 nights of school for 5 years to become a Journeymen Plumber while raising 2 young sons he is employed by Therma. John has many friends everywhere including childhood friends since elementary school. John’s heart has always been for helping people and helping animals, being in the outdoors and backpacking that’s when he met Kimberly near the Klamath River. John is such a humanitarian and kind and very generous man he loved Psalms 23. He will be missed by us so Much.
