Julius Lopez Guzman, age 83, of Stockton, California passed away at home on Saturday, January 30, 2021 with his family by his side after a two year battle with cancer. He was a kind, generous, and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will forever be in the hearts of his family.
Julius was born June 1, 1937 in Fort Mckinley, Manila, Philippines to Tomas Gumiran Guzman and Dolores Lopez Guzman. He is a U.S. Veteran who served in the U.S. Navy from 1966-1970 and was a member of the American Legion. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Animal Husbandry at Araneta University, Philippines. He had resided in Stockton, California with his family, for over 50 years. His second retirement was from the San Joaquin County Sheriffs Department as a Property Clerk in which he took great pride in.
Julius leaves behind to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife of 50 years, Claribel Cabaccang Guzman, his four children; Elizabeth Guzman (Philippines), Eleonor Guzman Ong (Philippines), Edgar Allen Guzman (Stockton, CA), Lorra Guzman Blankenship (Stockton, CA), ten grandchildren; Mary Krishna Guzman (Saudi Arabia), April Ellen Domingo (Saudi Arabia), Arvin Kenneth Ong (Dubai), Gregorio Ceasar Ong (Philippines), Lorens Christopher Ong (Philippines), Matthew Ryan Guzman (Stockton, CA), Angelique Chelsea Monet Guzman (Stockton, CA), Ashley Nicole Blankenship (Stockton, CA), Kelly Reese Blankenship (Stockton, CA), Stephen Nathaniel Blankenship III (Stockton, CA), and eight great grandchildren; Amirah Kreliza Guzman (Philippines), Amarah Krizeleth Tiamzon (Philippines), Aliza Kyra Tiamzon (Philippines), Jaden Matthew Ong (Philippines), Ashley Ong (Philippines), Ashley Alina Castro (Stockton, CA), Johnny Castro Jr. (Stockton, CA), and Anna Cristina Castro (Stockton, CA). He also leaves behind his daughter-in-law Marjorie Joy Guzman and son-in-law Stephen Nathaniel Blankenship II.
A mass will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 6715 Leesburg Place, Stockton, CA followed by visitation and viewing from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Deyoung Shoreline Chapel, 7676 Shoreline Drive, Stockton, CA. Committal will be held at 3:00 p.m. at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery, 719 E. Harding Way, Stockton, California.
