Margaret Margaret V. Rooker Koster

Margaret was born on April 19, 1919 in Provo, Utah to Stella Jean Nelson and Dr. Arthur A. Vance, DVM. She passed away December 2, 2011. She was the fifth of nine children. After high school she obtained a beautician’s license and moved to Twin Falls, Idaho to work. It was there that she met Bert Samuel Rooker who was to be the love of her life. Bert and Margaret were married in 1940 and moved to Stockton, CA to raise their family of three daughters and one son. In 1952, Bert died suddenly at the age of 33, leaving Margaret to raise their young family. Two years later she married Vernon Weston Koster and another son was born into the family. Margaret was a faithful life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving in a multitude of ways. Margaret is survived by her five children: Sharen R. (Pete) Agbulos; Gayle R. (Brent) Goodfellow of Salt lake City, UT; Alaine R. Stanco; Randall B. (Debbie) Rooker and Bradley A. (Darcy) Koster. She is also survived by her brother and sister, J. Richard Vance of Spanish Fork, UT and Jessie V. Diamond of Murray, UT and a brother in-law, Ned Sorenson of Orem, UT, along with many nieces and nephews. Additionally, Margaret leaves behind 19 Grandchildren, 34 Great-grandchildren, and 6 Great great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 9, 2011 at 9:30 AM at the Brookside ward chapel. Burial will be at Park View Cemetery in French Camp, CA.
