

Marychar was born on January 29, 1972, in Mendez, Cavite, Philippines, to Josefina Alegre and Jose Fijer. She was raised in Mendez and attended Tagaytay Mendez Academy before continuing her studies at Las Piñas College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Marychar passed away at St. Joseph’s Medical Hospital in Stockton, California, alongside her family.
On February 20, 2016, Marychar married her dearest love, Liberto Perey. They shared a blessed life raising her beloved son, Kyle Donor, and guided by faith, always trusting in God’s grace.
A devoted wife and loving mother, Marychar’s kindness and generosity touched everyone who knew her. She was known for her gift in the kitchen, her love of music, and her talent for bowling. She shared her time and energy with her community, volunteering at Great Valley Elementary, and brought joy to her friends in her Zumba group. Her laughter, warmth, and faith made every space brighter, and her memory will forever inspire her family and friends.
Marychar is survived by her husband, Liberto Perey, and her son, Kyle Donor.
She is also remembered by her beloved daughters: Juliet Perey, Joise Perey, Joanne Perey, and Jennifer Perey.
Her memory lives on through her grandchildren:
Grandsons: Jerrick Taganap, Jorel Salonga, Joe Smurphat, Chris Loyola, and Jeff Loyola. Granddaughters: Jessice Taganap, Jannelyn Salonga, Jazelle Perena, Jeara Perena, Jada Smurphat, Jaenel Salonga, and Lili Loyola.
Visitation will be held at De Young Shoreline Chapel, 7676 Shoreline Dr., Stockton, CA 95219, on August 31, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Marychar will be laid to rest in her hometown, at Mendez Cemetery in Cavite, Philippines.
