In loving memory of our mother, Phyllis Cano Ente, who peacefully passed away in the presence of her husband and family members on December 4, 2022. Phyllis was the devoted wife to Demetrio Ente Jr. who shared 73 beautiful years together and was a loving and dedicated mother to seven wonderful children. She was from a family of ten siblings and is survived by ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Phyllis was a loving, caring and forgiving person who always put the lord first in her life and needs of her family before her own. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage, dignity and respect. She was our source of inspiration and she will be missed by family, friends, colleagues and the many lives she touched.
Phyllis worked for several schools within the Stockton Unified School District as Lead Food Service III and retired after 20-plus years with Hazelton Elementary School. She was a consummate professional and took great pride throughout her life.
During our formative years growing up, mom was always there for us, whether we needed help with homework, someone to ask for perspective, sound advice, or an occasional recipe. She loved to cook and was a woman of unwavering catholic faith who instilled the importance of family, hard work and doing what is right. Mom was a true role model to always look up to.
