Porfirio C. Vasquez passed away peacefully at his home in Stockton, CA surrounded by family at the age of 96. He was born in Phoenix, AZ. In March 1965, he surrendered his life to Christ. As a faithful Catholic, he served the Church as a lector, choir member, and a charismatic prayer member for over 50 years. He read the bible every day, enjoyed gardening, and listening to the birds sing. He was the most devoted, giving, and kindest person. He will be beloved in heaven as he was here in life. He is preceded in death by his devoted wife of 53 years Guadalupe, his daughter Rose, his son Bob, and grandson Eric. He is survived by his children Jose (Irene), Hector (Linda), Theresa Pryor (Greg), Irene Camy, his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 26th, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Luke’s Catholic Church with Fr. Zarate presiding. Interment will follow at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.
