

Richard Jones was born January 16, 1941 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Stockton, California. He went to heaven to be with the Lord on December 29, 2015. Richard was a native Stocktonian and he was from the first graduating class of Amos Alonzo Stagg High School in 1958. Richard joined the US Army in 1959 and had basic training at Fort Ord. He was stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington where he had missile training he was always very proud to serve his country. Richard was filled with utter joy when he met the love of his life Janice. He knew it was love at first sight and shortly thereafter they were married. The love they shared lasted over 53 years. Richard and Janice shared a long lasting love for each other that was truly one of a kind. They made God’s Love, Word and Wisdom the center of their marriage. Richard and Janice were blessed with three loving children. Richard was such a loving devoted father who always put his family first. He was a Christian Father who brought Spiritual inspiration into each one of their lives filled with great love, joy and peace. Richard worked at Avenue Hardware which was his family business located at 2024 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, California. In 1966 Richard began his career as a Real Estate Agent. He eventually became a Real Estate Broker and opened his own office, Richard Jones Realtor. In Richards spare time he was an avid car enthusiast and enjoyed restoring old cars. He also loved reading, gardening, fishing and spending time with his family. Our beloved Richard is survived by his wife Janice and their three children: Sandi Sanborn (Corky), Sheri Jones (Bennie), Rick Jones (Kecia); four grandchildren: Justin Sanborn, Jessica Bossana (Anthony), Tyler Jones and MacKenzie Jones; two great grandchildren: Carson Bossana and Karlee Bossana; his sister Nancy Chow (Gene) and niece Amanda; his brother-in-law Nelson Griffis (Barbara) and niece Julie (Rob); He is also survived by many dear friends. Richard was predeceased by his mother, Elmyra Smith, and his father, Orval Jones. There is nothing love cannot face; there is no limit to its faith, its hope, and its endurance.
