IN THE CARE OF
DeYoung Memorial Chapel
Rita M. Lara, aka Nana to her grandchildren, entered into her eternal home on September 30, 2022 in Stockton, CA at the age of 79. She was blessed to be able to see most of her family before she passed away.
Rita was born in Ripon, California on December 23, 1942 to Frank Delsied and Belen G. Delsied. Rita met and married the love of her life Raymond A. Lara. They had a loving and devoted marriage for over 50 years. She was a stay-at-home mom and loved taking care of her children and many grandchildren. She loved to travel, sing, and dance. In fact, you would often find her with her husband dancing at the church bazaar.
Rita was a very pleasant and considerate person who always expressed positive thoughts about her family. She was very caring and loved helping others in need. Rita's strong faith and trust in God carried her through many difficult times and through her last days.
Rita will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Rita is survived by her daughters Ramona Gonzalez (Ricardo) & Virginia Cervantes (Joseph), 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, her Sister Carmen Gonzalez, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond A Lara and daughter Victoria Moreno.
Viewing will be on Thursday, 10-20-2022 from 4-6 pm with rosary at 6 pm at De Young Memorial Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, 10-21-2022 at 11:00 am at St. Gertrude's Catholic Church, followed by the burial at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.
