Robert has three children. A son, Michael/Mary of Stockton, two daughters, Terri/ Ken Galletti of Lodi, and Kelli/ Steve Gomez of Stockton. He was proceeded in death by his loving wife Doris, and was married nearly 70 years until her death in 2016. Robert was the oldest brother to William, Florentino Jr. and Angela, and has two living sisters, Dolores Rodriguez, and Ana Anderson, both of Stockton. He also has 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was quite proud of serving our country in the US Navy on the aircraft carrier, USS Kwajalein CVE-98. Drafted out of Edison High, he served from 1944-1946. After serving our country he began a long career as a warehouseman for PCA, Yolland, and worked at E. F. Mitchler until he retired. He was a loyal S.F. Giants and '49er fan and enjoyed working in his yard.
DeYoung Memorial Chapel is honored to serve the Valverde family. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 from 2-6pm at DeYoung Memorial Chapel followed by a Rosary at 6pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at 10am at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Stockton followed by interment at Cherokee Memorial Park, Lodi.
