Soledad "Nana Soling" Pichay Ridon entered into rest on August 14, 2022 surrounded by the love of her children and grandchildren, and many loved ones. Born in San Vicente, Ilocos Sur on March 4, 1922, she was a homemaker and had 11 children. She arrived in the United States in 1984 and has lived here in Stockton since then. She then served several families as a nanny and mother’s helper, helping raise their children much like her own. She leaves a legacy of love, servant leadership, and has passed on her unique style of care and attentiveness to her own children and grandchildren.
Her 11 children and their spouses - Connie (David), Pacita (Vicente), Warlito (Agustina), Remedios (Thelma), Susana (Quentin), Loreto (Leticia), Agnes (Clarito), Nestor (Jean), Veronica (Rolando), and Armando gave her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren living throughout the world, including her homeland of the Philippines, in the United States, the UK, Canada, Saudi Arabia, and Australia.
She is welcomed into heaven by her husband, Pablo; children Remedios, Loreto, Susana, and Armando; parents, Cayetano and Primitiva Pichay; her siblings, and many loved ones who have paved her way.
