Mr. William Paul Hughes

William Paul Hughes, Bill - Peacefully at Hamilton General Hospital on April 16, 2006 in his 72nd year. Beloved husband and best friend of Catharine. Loving father of Tommy, Mary Ann (Mark) Cavanaugh, Polly (Mark) Kupi, Cathy Hughes, Dianne Bourgeois, Doug (Darlene) Reid, Mike (Shannon) Reid, and Cathy Reid. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Claudette, Matthew, Ben and Dougie; and his sisters Barbara Jenkinson, and Debra Bullard. Predeceased by his daughter Lorri Hughes, his mother Mary McCurdy and father William A. Hughes.

Bill was a retired Business Agent for the RWDS Union and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 144 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie no. 4250. He will be sorely missed by his extended family and numerous friends.

Family will receive friends at the Stoney Creek Funeral Home, 454 Hwy. 8, Stoney Creek on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services celebrating Bill's life will be held at the Stoney Creek Funeral Home Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment Mountview Gardens. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
