Arnold Young

With so much love and sadness we announce the passing of Arnold Roy Young of Spruce Grove, Alberta on March 7, 2025, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was born in Snowden, Sask. and as a young man he worked hard on the farm until his love of flying pulled him away to an amazing career as an airline pilot for nearly 40 years, and he shared that passion of flying with so many along the way. He is survived by his wife Patricia, daughter Judy (Gary) Deans of Spruce Grove, Tricia Young of Jasper, his grandchildren whom he adored, Hayley Deans of Spruce Grove, Tyler and Sarah Young of Jasper. His sisters Elaine and Glenna and his many nieces and nephews. He was sadly predeceased by his son James Young and daughter Tammy Young.

He had so many interests and experiences that if you sat and talked to him at any time, you would hear his love of flying and his own private aircraft, woodworking, camping, fishing, and music, and over the years buying, fixing and selling vehicles and airplanes. He worked on building, renovating and sharing his time to make all of our lives easier. He dearly loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, teaching them everything he knew. So many little details they will cherish for the rest of their lives.

Arnolds faith as a Jehovah’s Witness gave him comfort as he looked forward to the bible's promise of a resurrection into a paradise on earth.

There will never be enough words to describe how much we miss your loving smile, strong, kind and giving heart. We will cherish every memory forever and continue to tell your stories and passion for life.

There will be a private family memorial at a later date
