December 3, 1953 – October 20, 2025
Brian Berry passed away peacefully at the age of 71 on October 20, 2025, surrounded by his family in Edmonton, Alberta.
Born in Edmonton on December 3, 1953, Brian was the beloved son of Sheila (Miller) and Norman Berry. In 1965, the family moved to Fallis, Alberta, where they owned and operated the Fallis General Store. This would begin Brian's lifelong love for Fallis and Lake Wabamun.
Brian was ingrained into the fabric of the Fallis community by simply showing up and consistently being himself. When he wasn't visiting with family and friends, you could find him tinkering around, thrifting, fishing or riding his Harley. At Christmas, he was always the one in the red suit, making sure every kid felt seen. Brian was also the local school bus driver for many years. People remember him for that calm, easy way he had with kids… no rush, no attitude, just care.
Most evenings you could find him sitting on his bench at the beach in Fallis, watching the sun go down over the water. That was his place. He liked things quiet and honest. He didn’t need much and he certainly didn’t ask for much. He just loved where he was, and who he was with.
Predeceased by his parents, Norman and Sheila Berry and sister Lynda Berry-Dinsmore. Brian is survived by his nephew Kyle (Jordan), niece Allison (Graham), and his beloved great nephews and niece Mason, Crew, Bennett, and Briar.
A celebration of life will be held in Brian's honor on Sunday, November 16, 2025 from 1pm to 3pm at the Fallis Community Hall, Range Rd 52, Wabamun, AB T0E 2K0.
