Cecile Rogers

It is with great sadness and so much love, we say goodbye to our wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Cecile grew up in Brandon, MB, with her loving parents, two brothers and six sisters. There she met and fell in love with Vernon Rogers. They moved to Edmonton, AB, where they raised three daughters. They enjoyed 28 years together before Vern’s passing in 1988.

Cecile is survived by her children Wendy (Melvin) Nielsen, Sandra (Hal) Simmerson and Barb Ratke; eight grandchildren: Kevin, Brian, Matthew (Amanda), Bradley (Dayton), Allison, Michelle (Michael), Steven and Scott. She was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Scarlett and Donovan.

The family wishes to thank her caregivers at George Hennig Place where she lived, and the Misericordia Hospital Staff during her final days.

A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, September 9th, at Parkland Funeral Services, 3502, 44 Avenue, Stony Plain at 1PM.
