David Wayne Maze

David’s memory will be forever remembered and cherished by his loving wife of 31 years, Debra; his sons, William (Karen), Shawn (Shelynn) and Michael (Megan); his grandchildren, Brayden, Ryan and Willow; his sister, Marie (Stan); his sister-in-law, Dian; brothers-in-law, Bill, Lloyd and Dennis; his nieces, Arrienne, Nicole, Nina, Symone and Morgan; his nephews, Dion, Max, Jarod, Gage, Reese, Arlin and Carter as well as numerous dear friends.

David was predeceased by his son, Jonathan David; his parents, June and William; his sister, Janice; his mother-in-law, Annabella and his niece, Madison.

Over the years David enjoyed many pastimes; sports, working on cars, motorcycles, quads and a lifelong love of building. David could often be found camping, hunting, fishing or just relaxing around an open fire. His passion for the outdoors was something he enjoyed sharing with not only his family, but also anyone new to these activities. You could be sure that if you had never been out hunting, David would show you the ropes, loving every minute of it.

Beyond all else, David was a family man. His wife, sons and grandchildren meant the world to him. Many of David’s fondest memories were those he shared with his boys, remembering the first fish, deer, moose, bear or grouse each of them got and the many that followed. He spend as much time as he could with his family, managing to turn building his and Debra’s house into a family affair. Even on the hardest days, a visit from his grandchildren was guaranteed to bring a smile to his face. David was positive it was not about what you were doing, it is about whom you were doing it with.

A Memorial Service for David will be held Monday, August 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Parkland Funeral Chapel, 3502 44 Avenue, Stony Plain AB. Cremation has taken place.
