Elaine Gray

Elaine passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025, after a courageous battle with her cancer diagnosis. Elaine met her final challenge with courage, grace, positive attitude and a sense of humour. She was an inspiration to her family and friends. Elaine’s positive attitude and ready smile helped her and those around her to better cope with her struggles.

Elaine was predeceased by her parents Margaret and Ralph Worrall. Left behind to remember her fondly are her husband of 40 years, Howard; her son Scott; her stepsons Blaine and Jay and her four grandchildren Nikita, Austin, Jeffery and Chase. Elaine was also fortunate to get to know her six great-granddaughters! She will be remembered by many extended family members, good friends and neighbours.

In a world where you can be anything, being kind was how Elaine lived. She was someone who looked out for the best in all those she met. She was an avid reader and was known in the family as the book grandma, always finding the perfect book for all special occasions.

Special thanks to the wonderful staff at the Cross Cancer Institute, her family doctor, palliative homecare staff, hospice care staff and her great friends and neighbours. All who helped her through her final life’s journey.

A service will be held on August 26, 2025 at the Stony Plain United Church, 5012 51 Avenue, Stony Plain at 12:30PM.
