Ella was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. A woman of deep faith, she made prayer and religion central to her daily life. She was a wonderful cook and gracious hostess who cherished holiday meals with family and friends. Always impeccably dressed, Ella kept a spotless home, prepared enough food to feed an army, and put her husband and children first. In many ways, she embodied the classic 1950s homemaker—and often spoke of how much she enjoyed the tasks others considered chores.
She lived a long and full life and was the last surviving member of her large family.
Ella is survived by her daughters Debbie & Patty (Tim); her son Daniel (Kimberly); her grandchildren: Donnie (Claudia), Danielle (Vern), Melanie (Matt), Travis (Chantelle), Sabrina (Deiter) and Allie (Cole); her great-grandchildren: Camila, Lorenzo, Maya, Lily, Hali, Dax, Wilder and Indiana as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was predeceased by her husband Dan; her two brothers; five sisters and by her son-in-law Don.
If friends desire, Memorial Donations may be made in Ella’s honor to either the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
As per Ella’s wishes, no formal service will be held.
