Faye Alayne (Alcock) Christensen

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Faye. She passed away in her sleep at the age of 82 in Stony Plain, Alberta. She is survived by her children Grant, Dana (Dave), Shane (Tracy), and Garth (Donna). Also grandchildren; Matthew, Justin (Kyla), Joel (Paulina), Melissa, Cynthia (Kory), Kyle (Ashley), Jayce, and Mackenzie and Great Grandchildren; Lucas, Reilly, Emma and Lyla, and of course the VanderHaak family of John VanderHaak. She is also survived by her sisters Gail and Linda as well as her brother Alan and their families.

She was predeceased by her parents Winnifred and Sidney Alcock, sisters Auline, Iris and Connie, her brother John, her first husband Cliff as well as her partner John VanderHaak.

Mom loved her family with all of her being. They and her fur babies were her greatest joy. We will always remember the unwavering love she had for her grandchildren and great grandchildren that will live on within them. She never missed a chance to gather and celebrate for any reason. She loved a good laugh, a good game of cards, and a good prank.

Mom drove a school bus, a DATS bus, shuttle to the airport and was a chamber maid. She raised chickens and made most things from scratch. She loved to do ceramics, play games and garden which she was prolific with.

We will always remember her recipes, love for all creatures, and the love she shared and will keep that flame in our hearts. The foundation that she brought us up in is a compass for our own families. That love will grow forever. Mom, we love you and will miss you always.

Per her wishes we will not be having a service but will gather as a family.
