Mom, It's so hard to believe it's been a year since you left us.  I think of you everyday and miss you so much!  You taught us well, and we'll use those learning to ensure your legacy never ends.  Love you tons!

We were neighbors of Helen and Roy for many years. We have a great many good memories from that time and beyond. Helen was a very good friend and helpful in so many ways. She babysat Cody as a toddler for $5 per day which included riding to playschool back and forth with him on the school bus. Helen was not a person to hold back but she never carried a grudge unless somebody harmed her family. We remember Scott and Travis getting into some ungodly fights and Helen telling Travis to get home and stay there. Half an hour later Travis was back at Yost's. Helen has a memory like a steel trap and remembered things that were better off forgotten. Of course her memory really kicked in when she was reminded of her tractor driving or pig loading skills! We remained friends after we all moved to town. Helen is going to be greatly missed.

Helen was not only "Mom" to her immediate family, but she set the standard for the concept of extended family. Everyone who passed through her doors was welcome. There was always coffee, fresh baking, smiles, great advice, laughter and always a helping hand, which she and her husband Roy gave to the best of their ability. Helen will be tremendously missed, and while she is now truly at home, hand in hand with Roy,we are left with the legacy, the example and memory of what it truly means to oopen our arms and be a "family" to our immediate and extended loved ones.

Helen and Roy were the best neighbors ever! Helen watched over us, helped us when we needed help, took us in when our house burned and let us know the simplicity of what is right. I will never forget her smile her coffee or her food, but most of all I will remember her kindness.

The toughest thing I had to do in my life was to say goodbye to you 7 days ago,knowing I would not see you again in this life time.
I keep thinking of you..... I really miss you and love you so much.
In the 57+ years that I was part of your world (life) we put on a lot of miles and put together a lot of memories.
These memories...I will cherish forever and you will always be in my heart and my dreams.
These memories will keep me going ....

From the day my dad had met Sue we've heard so many great things about Grandma Helen. How she was a kind, hard working lady, whom was very loving. I was lucky enough to meet her recently in December just after Christmas for my first time. She was very nice, not shy at all She greeted me with open loving arms as she knew me since I was born.
Grandma Helen will be greatly missed but always remembered!
