Herbert Paul Hennig

1926 – 2017

It is with hearts full of gratitude for his life and hearts full of sorrow for his death that we announce the passing of Herb Hennig at the age of 90 years.

Herb will be forever remembered by his son Murray (Hali) Hennig of Stony Plain, AB; his step-children: Cameron (Karen) Ray of Barrhead, AB, Donna Boychuck, Verna Watson, Elmer (Deb) Ray, Brian (Nancy) Ray, all of Stony Plain, AB, Barb (Ken) Hlus of St. Albert, AB and Vernon (Liz) Ray of Devon, AB. His sister Ruth Adam of Stony Plain; his brother Rolland (Bernice) Hennig of Stony Plain, AB, two sisters-in-law: Rose Hennig and Gerry Hennig; 26 grandchildren & 34 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his loving wife Esther; his parents Jacob and Elizabeth (Schoepp) Hennig; seven brothers and three sisters.

Friends and relatives are invited to a Prayer Service on Thursday, July 27 @ 7:00 pm at Parkland Funeral Chapel, 3502 44 Ave, Stony Plain. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday July 28 @ 1:00 pm at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 5021 52 Ave Stony Plain with Pastor Mike Keith officiating.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery. If friends desire memorial tributes may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church School 5014 53rd Ave Stony Plain, AB T7Z 1R8 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
