Joan Irene (nee Zdebiak) Krumm

Joan will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her loving husband of 46 years, Ken; her daughter, Amber Dennis (Jeff); and her cherished granddaughter, Aubrey Dennis. She also leaves behind her brothers, Dave Zdebiak (Colleen) and Tom Zdebiak (Kim), along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Joan was predeceased by her parents, Frank Zdebiak and Anne Zdebiak.

Joan brought warmth, vitality, and passion to the lives of everyone around her. Anchored by a deep belief in God, her faith guided her through life and reflected in the kindness she showed to others. She was a die-hard, enthusiastic fan of the Edmonton Elks, rarely missing a game and cheering them on through every season. In quieter moments, Joan was a talented and avid cross-stitcher, creating beautifully intricate pieces that her family will treasure forever. Her love for animals was a defining part of who she was, and her gentle, compassionate spirit touched many lives—both human and furry.

Details regarding a gathering to honour Joan’s life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joan’s memory to the Edmonton Humane Society, honouring her lifelong commitment to animal welfare.
