John Ernest Hamilton Davies

John was born and raised in Prescott, ON, and left at an early age to pursue a successful career in banking. John worked for TD Canada Trust and formed many lasting friends and meaningful connections with colleagues and clients alike.

John’s greatest pride and joy was his family. He was a devoted father to Heather and Brandon (Shelby). He was proud grandpa to Colton, Zachary and Henry and treasured every opportunity to spend time with them, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

In his spare time John enjoyed boating and you could often find him cruising the waters of Lake Erie.

Throughout his life, John was known for his kindness, integrity and willingness to help others.

John was the co-founder and honourary member of the Tumaini Children’s Foundation, where he dedicated countless hours to supporting and uplifting others through his volunteer efforts. One of his favourite was helping with the annual Simcoe Panarama.

Over the past five years John faced declining health with courage and resilience and moved closer to his family in Alberta.

John was predeceased by his parents Nellie and Jack Davies and his brother Gary Davies.

John and family would like to thank the staff at Extendicare Eaux Claires in Edmonton for their exceptional care, comfort and support.

John will be deeply missed by family and friends and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Cremation has taken place and a private family remembrance will be held at a later date.
