Jonathan Alexander Briand

1984 – 2023

The family of Jonathan is saddened to announce his sudden passing on February 18th, 2023 at the age of 38 years.

Jon will be remembered by his children Kali Briand and Alexander Briand; his parents Wallace Briand and Ethel Briand; his two brothers Jeremy Briand and Robert Briand; and his sister Sarah Briand.

Jon was a very talented man and had an amazing ability to build things with his hands. He was a drywaller, a carpenter, a class one driver, and spent many years working in his family’s environmental business.

Jon loved music, from the old school rap and hip-hop to classic rock and everything in between, if it had a beat Jon would be bobbing his head.

Jon loved the outdoors, fishing with his son and spending time with his daughter, he enjoyed going for walks, and sitting by the fire. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his friends. He will be remembered for his kindness to others, his contagious laugh, and his larger-than-life personality.

Jon had great friends and a supportive family, and he will be truly missed.

A memorial service for Jonathan will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Parkland Funeral Services, 3502 44th Ave, Stony Plain, AB T7Z1L1.
