It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the unexpected passing of Jonathan Wade Tracy on Friday, April 1, 2022 at the age of forty. He was born in Saint John, New Brunswick on September 20th, 1981.
Left to cherish Jonathan’s memory are his wife, Krystine; his children, Julien Hayes and Luka Gerald; his parents Gerald “Jerry” & Donalda; his brother, Jeffrey (Danielle); his nieces, Adalyn, Everlee and Isabelle; his parents-in-law, John & Claudette Wawrzonek; his siblings-in-law, Leo (Linda) Wawrzonek, Michael (Kim) Wawrzonek, Valerie (David) Luft, and Trevor (Sharri) Wawrzonek as well as an aunt, uncles and cousins.
Jonathan was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Carl & Doreen Tracy and his maternal grandparents, Donnie & Shirley Dickieson.
Jonathan was the embodiment of love; he was patient and kind, did not envy nor boast. He was not proud, and always made sure that he did not dishonor others. He was never self-seeking, was not easily angered, and did not hold a grudge. He always protected, always trusted, always hoped, and always persevered for those he loved. His love never failed.
Above all Jonathan loved his family. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family and friends whenever and wherever he could, in person or over miles with a phone or video call. We will always keep a chair for you at our campfires. You are loved. You will be remembered. You are missed.
A Celebration of Jonathan’s Life will be held at 1:30 pm on April 11th, 2022 at Parkland Funeral Chapel, 3502 – 44 Avenue, Stony Plain, AB with Pastor Gary McKellar officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jonathan’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
One Day
Yesterday you sang a song
And laughed so happily
With a cheerful smile and heart of gold
That meant so much to me
Yesterday was fun and games
Your smile was here to stay
Yesterday we had no fears
‘Cause the end seemed far away
Today has come too quickly
I’m not ready to say goodbye
I wish I could turn back time
Or have you instead of the tears I cry
Today I feel the pain of loss
And God knows my loss is His gain
My mourning may be overcome
But never all my pain
One day I will realize
That you simply could not stay
You’ll live on in my memories
Until we meet again one day
I’ll love you forever ♥
Krystine
