

Mrs. Katharina (Mable) Stryker passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Sunday, November 23, 2025. Mable was born September 17, 1933 at her family homestead near Duffield, Alberta. She was a graduate of the Moose Jaw Bible College (later named Aldersgate Bible College). She dedicated her life to serving others with her husband Reverend Floyd Stryker throughout their ministry in Canada and the United States.
Mable is survived by her daughter Sherrille Stryker, son Cameron (Wendy) Stryker. Grandchildren: Alan Montgomery, Malcolm (Laura) Montgomery, Valerie (Jordan) St Denis, Thomas Richards, Nathan Richards, Kylie (Jordan) Schmidt, Kevin (Kaley) Stryker, Jonathan Stryker; son-in-law Cameron (Kim) Montgomery, brother Lloyd Hohnstein, 10 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Floyd Stryker, daughter Brenda Montgomery, her parents Adam and Christina Hohnstein, her siblings John Hohnstein, Nellie Henkel, George Hohnstein, Esther Oshvalda, and Irene Oshvalda.
The family would like to thank Tanja, Sheri, Oluchi, the Bayshore personal support workers, and nurses who looked after Mable during these past few years. The compassionate care you provided is greatly appreciated and will forever be remembered.
A Funeral Service for Mable will be held on Saturday April 18th, 2026 at 11AM, at Meewasin Free Methodist Church, 3201 Township Rd 520A, Duffield, AB. A reception will follow at MoJo Garden Centre, 5331 Hwy 43, Parkland County.
If friends so desire, donations may be made in Mable’s memory to the Free Methodist World Missions.
